DescriptionThis second volume in Sydney photographer Paul Freeman’s ‘Larrikin’ series was photographed in several countries in Europe, as well as North America and Australia. Larrikin refers to men of free spirit who are a bit rebellious, and yakka meaning hard work. This is a photo essay on the manual worker or blue collar man. It expands on Freeman’s early book, Bondi Work, but is much more varied and rural, and includes a strong classical flavour, particularly a series shot on location in Italy. Another stunning collection of work from this best selling photographer. |
