Description

Though only 26 per cent of the UK adult population now smokes, smoking is actually on the increase among young people. A particular problem exists with teenage girls, though children as young as 8 to 12 are smoking. This book offers a guide to parents on how to stop their children smoking, starting with the first rule of Don't Be Complacent.

Author description

An accountant by training, Allen Carr broke his 100 cigarettes-a-day habit and devised his famous methods to help fellow-addicts. He built a hugely successful network of stop-smoking clinics across the world and is the author of The Easy Way to Stop Smoking, The Easy Way to Enjoy Flying and The Easyweigh to Lose Weight. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 2006 and died in November of the same year. It seems likely that the years he spent curing smokers in smoke-filled sessions at his clinics must have contributed to this illness, but Allen Carr remained positive, 'Given that I am informed that I have cured at least 10 million smokers on a conservative estimation, it's a price worth paying.'
