Screaming Hyena is a book review magazine which covers lesbian, bisexual, transgender, gay, feminist, homosexual, queer, bent and sometimes straight contemporary literature. We also publish a some fiction and poetry.

Founded in 1994 our writers range from full-time authors to amateur reviewers and come from all over Australia, North America and the United Kingdom. We want more reviewers and writers from all over the globe so email us via the feedback form and tell us you are interested in adding your voice.

We rely on your feedback so if you read a review here please tell us what you thought of it.

Slowly we will make archival material available to you. Eventually we hope to have all the past issues available. Once we iron out our bugs we intend to update the magazine every second month.
