DescriptionA growing number of Evangelical Christians believe there is a revival underway in America that requires Christian youth to assume leadership roles in advocating the causes of their religious movement. Pastor Becky Fischer is an aggressive Evangelical campaigner. She founded a summer camp at Devil's Lake in North Dakota called "Kids on Fire" for fundamentalist Christian children as young as six. Here the love of Jesus is preached above all else, to the strains of "JC's in da house" style rap and Christian heavy-metal. Jesus Camp follows three youngsters—Tory (10), Levi (11) and Rachael (9)—as they are initiated into Pastor Fischer's army of young soldiers for the Religious Right who, she hopes, will "take back America for Christ". |
